Jefferson County is the easternmost county in WV, about 1 1/2 hours west of DC and a short distance from Winchester, VA. Commuters have access to the MARC Train in Harpers Ferry. The county was named after Thomas Jefferson and is host to many historical treasures such as Harper's Ferry.
